Releases of previous software programs used by the RUG include Ultimate Family Tree (UFT), Family Gathering, Visual Roots, ROOTS V, ROOTS IV, and ROOTS III. Whenever the new program was released, the RUG has changed focus for the proceedings of our monthly meetings and the content of our newsletter. This migration continues to the newer and more powerful product, The Master Genealogist (TMG). However, there is still a hard core of dedicated users of these earlier programs who are very satisfied with those products, as it suits their individual requirements. As an aid to all our RUG users, the RUG continues to maintain these FAQs (except for TMG which is included here for convenience).
